Floods in Two Sub-districts in Kebayoran Lama have Receded Completely

Flooding triggered by heavy rain on Wednesday (4/24) afternoon in two urban villages in Kebayoran Lama Sub-district, South Jakarta, completely receded this morning, Thursday (4/25).

It was caused by high rainfall

Pondok Pinang Urban Village Head, Rizki Januar said the flooding was seen in RW 05, including RT 14, 15, 16, and 17. It receded completely this morning at 9.20 AM.

He explained water started entering residential areas in the early hours of Thursday at around 1.30 AM.

Channel Repairs on Jalan Setiabudi III Completed

"The flood occurred was around 40 centimeters," he explained.

As a result, PPSU personnel were deployed to the location.

"We clean up the garbage in the channels that causes blockages," he added.

Cipulir Urban Village Acting Head, Andi Nur Cahya uttered the flood in his area occurred in Gang Suwardi, RT 08/10 starting at 2 AM.

"It was caused by high rainfall overflowing the Pesanggrahan River. This morning at 9 AM, it had completely receded," he explained.

In the meantime, RT 08/10 Chairman, Cipulir Urban Village, Kristanto admitted the 50-centimeter-high floodwaters receded slowly since 5 AM.

"It has now completely receded and residents' activities have returned to normal this morning," he stated.
